Weekdays mean smaller crowds and more one-on-one time with your stylist. Weekends book up fast, so reserve those spots early. One heads-up: hours vary along Benson Street, and a few shops close on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, so check each shop’s hours before you map out your day.

Picture Benson Street transformed into a festival-style bridal market. Fall in Love is the district’s signature outdoor bridal show, usually held in September, with local vendors, shop previews and promotions, live music and treats. The 2027 date will be posted on the Reading Bridal District events page.
Trunk shows are a bridal boutique’s version of a VIP event. Designers send in brand-new collections before they hit the main market, so you can try styles almost no one has seen yet, often with special incentives. Ours roll throughout the year, with clusters in late winter, early spring and early fall. They’re appointment-only, so when you book your appointment, ask what’s coming up.
Blue Bridal’s Great Gown Purge runs during the National Bridal Sale Event around mid-July. In 2026 it marked select off-the-rack designer gowns at $999 and under, with most ready to take home the same day. Appointments go fast.

Blush gowns start at $1,599, with most between $1,599 and $3,000 and the collection reaching $5,000 and up. Plan to add 20 to 25 percent on top of your gown for alterations, a veil and undergarments. Browse wedding dresses by price to see what lives in each range.
Most wedding dresses are made to order. Standard delivery takes about 2 to 8 months, rush orders may be available for an extra fee, and alterations usually take 8 to 12 weeks after your dress arrives. Start shopping 9 to 12 months before your wedding if you can. On a shorter timeline? Off-the-rack shops like Blue Bridal let you take your gown home the same day.
